Keep user logged in - two webservers

I will be using Membership API for authentication and new registrations (forms authentication with custom login and register forms). This is my first time using this technique on an ASP.NET MVC 5 application. We have two load balanced webservers and the user may authenticate on server #1 but after that the redirection may happen to server#2. How do i keep the authenticated status on server #2 now? We will NOT be using sticky connections or putting the user id in session (no session sharing via SQLSERVER or app fabric). Will ASP.Net authentication cookie be enough here to check if the user is logged i or not? I am little lost here or not thinking straight. Thanks
