Network Path Drops Slashes

I do not know if this is right forum or not because do not know if it is iis 7.0 problem or C#.  Created ASP.Net/C# web app to create a excel file in a network folder.  From VS 2010 development it works fine.  When I put it out on the application server I get the message "access path has been denied" and shows the path which all the "\" put the first are gone.

"\\\\Wxxpap0x\\SQLReporting\\Reports\\PETReport.xlsx" and shows "\Wxxpap0xSQLReportingReportsPETReport.xlsx"
